Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Roberta has had over 20 years of experience in project management, development, renovation and construction of hotels, spas, and luxury residential properties. As a tireless perfectionist, she has combined her multi-tasking abilities with strict organization, in addressing the intricacies of the design process.
Within South Florida, She has worked on the installations and openings of resorts such as the 54-story mixed use hotel and condominium Acqualina Beach Club and Resort in Sunny Isles, Beach Florida; the 20,000 SF ESPA facility; the $30 Million dollar renovation of the historic art deco Clevelander Hotel; and the completion and opening of the Grand Beach Resort in Miami Beach, a 450 unit beach front hotel. She also managed the interior buildout for the 24,000 SF offices of Zubi Advertising, and common areas of a LEED Certified office tower in Coral Gables, Florida and overseeing the restoration of three historic homes located in the heart of the colonial walled city of Cartagena, Colombia being converted into a 34-suite luxury boutique resort.
Abroad, she was involved in the restructuring and expansion of HCOA Management Services, a multi-national health club chain with over 20 facilities - including the design and construction of a 15,000 SF state of the art fitness center and juice bar facility in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.
In recent international endeavors, dealing with both the construction and purchasing/purveying processes, Roberta has learned how to manage major aspects of international logistics; including current Government Security Requirements, as well as U. S. Customs Concepts of duty, classification, Free Trade Agreements, and Foreign Trade Zones. These matters are essential to a working knowledge that significantly reduces costs and financial risks when specifying and sourcing FF&E and OS&E products for your projects overseas, and particularly in Latin America & Brazil.
